Dr. Guagliumi was trained with Master in Interventional Cardiology at the Clinique Pasteur, Toulouse, France under the leading guide of Jean Fajadet. He has a long−standing practical and research expertise in complex coronary interventions, particularly with guidance of intravascular imaging. He was awarded at Mayo Clinic and St. Mary Hospital, Rochester in imaging and coronary physiology assessment of vascular response to intracoronary stents. Dr. Guagliumi has authored 308 peer−reviewed publications in cardiovascular research and clinical trials across all prestigious cardiology journals. Dr. Guagliumi was president of the Italian Society of Invasive Cardiology (GISE−2009−2011). He received the career award for the unique achievements in education and training. Dr. Guagliumi is a pioneer in development and clinical use of light−based imaging for diagnostic and complex interventional procedures.
